Bona Omis
A project started out of spite, turned into something beautiful. Bona Omis is a project that incourages body positivity and commmuinty surrounding LGBTQ culture.Bona Omis, a collection of beautiful male bodies, is a testament to those who are scared to embrace their true colors. It was created to show a sense of pride and self-love on the journey to finding our own identities. In this body of work, sixty-three men join me in the studio showing notable courage to be vulnerable in a time where hate is most present. Whether it’s body shaming or being denied the right to love openly, Bona Omis, encourages you to open your eyes to a world of self love and acceptance. In the words of Larry Kramer, author of the novel Faggots, “There will always be enemies. Time to stop being your own.”
